One: To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; O my God, in you I trust.
All: Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.
One: Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation.
All: All the paths of the Lorda are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep God’s covenant and decrees.
Hymn 667 - When Morning Gilds the Skies
When morning gilds the skies,
My heart awaking cries:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Alike at work and prayer
To Jesus I repair:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Does sadness fill my mind?
A solace here I find:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Or fades my earthly bliss?
My comfort still is this:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Let earth’s wide circle round
In joyful notes resound:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Let air and sea and sky
From depth to height reply:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Be this, while life is mine,
My canticle divine:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Be this the eternal song
Through all the ages long:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Prayer of the Day [unison]
God of all compassion, you call us to show your kindness to neighbors and strangers alike, even as you have shown us your mercy in Jesus Christ. Yet we pass by the needy you call us to serve, leaving your ministry of mercy to others. Have mercy on us, O Lord. Stir up in us your Spirit of mercy, that we may gladly aid those in distress, even as you have been merciful to us. Make us beacons of your hope, comfort, and justice, that the poor and needy may know the good news of your reign. Amen.
Canticle 399 - God Welcomes All
God welcomes all,
Strangers and friends;
God’s love is strong,
And it never ends.

Hymn 727 - Will You Let Me Be Your Servant
Will you let me be your servant,
Let me be as Christ to you,
Pray that I might have the grace
To let you be my servant, too?
We are pilgrims on the journey.
We are travellers on the road.
We are here to help each other
Walk the mile and bear the load.
I will hold the Christ light for you
In the night time of your fear.
I will hold my hand out to you,
Speak the the peace you long to hear.
I will weep when you are weeping.
When you laugh, I’ll laugh with you.
I will share your joy and sorrow
’Til we've seen this journey through.
Will you let me be your servant,
Let me be as Christ to you,
Pray that I might have the grace
To let you be my servant, too.

Prayers of the People
One: Lord, in your mercy:
All: Hear our prayer.
The Lord’s Prayer [unison]
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Prayer of Dedication
Hymn 744 - Arise, Your Light Is Come
Arise, your light is come!
The Spirit’s call obey.
Show forth the glory of your God,
Which shines on you today.
Arise, your light is come!
Fling wide the prison door.
Proclaim the captives’ liberty,
Good tidings to the poor.
Arise, your light is come!
All you in sorrow born.
Bind up the broken-hearted ones,
And comfort those who mourn.
Arise, your light is come!
The mountains burst in song!
Rise up like eagles on the wing;
God’s power will make us strong
Benediction
